    It's "Katie bar the door" here at Pac Cup central.  Starting with "the Boss" just before noon, and continuing through Jason Vannice, we got a record 11 entries in our first day. Interestingly the first and most recent entries are both J/35's.In the "we eat our own cooking" category, we see entries by Vice Commodore Melinda Erkelens on her and Bill's new-to-them Hobie 33 "Sleeping Dragon", and newest Staff Commodore Buzz Blackett's yet-to-be-completed 'io, a carbon Antrim 27 under construction. ... more ...

    Sailors on both sides of the Pacific, from California to Hawaii, will be able to attend the International Safety at Sea with Hands-On Training in either location.     With the arrivals of Defiance, Edge of Moonlight, and Hokulani last night, we're down to just a few on the "To Be Welcomed" list.  Taking a look at the tracker, we see that the end of the fleet (Angelique, Surya, and Knot Behaving) are still 160-260 miles out and travelling at a leisurely six knots, plus or minus.  Expect another day before we see them. ... more ...

The first B fleet entries arrive this morning with division leader 'Shearwater' sailing towards the line well ahead of the fleet on corrected time.
