So You're Thinking of Racing to Hawaii?
Since 1980, thousands of racers have made the biennial passage to Hawaii, trading the chardonnay and fog of San Francisco for the sunshine, palm trees and maitais of warm, welcoming Kaneohe Bay, on Oahu's windward side. The Pacific Cup Yacht Club invites you to consider racing to Hawaii with us. From our extensive preparation seminars to an unsurpassed starting location, to the spectacular downwind ride through the tradewinds, you'll think that the experience can't be beat.
Of course, the week of welcome celebrations at Kaneohe Yacht Club don't hurt either!
Whether you're in it for the sailing, the competition, the party, or just because you like your "pond" big and salty, we think we can deliver. One favorite characteristic of the Pac Cup is the easy and comfortable interaction of world-class professional sailors, regular racers, first-time crossers, families, and cruisers, all united by the common experience of a great and challenging crossing.
Start Thinking Now
We like to say that the race starts as soon as you decide to enter. Of course, preparation is a big thing. As our seminars are announced, you'll want to attend all of them.
