 Just sit right back.  You'll hear a tale.  In this case, the tale is that of Coconut Island which also served as the setting for Gilligan's Island!  But oh how the island has changed.

You may have taken a cruise around Coconut Island in past years but this year you can tour on the private island itself.

With a docent full of information, tour the historic residences once occupied by every type from fishermen to presidents. Hear stories ranging from ancient Hawaiian times to modern dreams of millionaires. Then tour the University of Hawai’i’s Hawai’i Institute of Marine Biology. The HIMB personnel landing craft will pick you up at Kaneohe Yacht Club at either 9AM or 12 noon for this 3 hour tour. (If fewer than 20 persons register, all will go at one time.) A portion of the proceeds will contribute to HIMB’s research and training funds. This is a three hour tour, a three hour tour.
