Don’t you just love the whooshing sound deadlines make as they go rushing by?  Today is May 30 and I still don’t have an appointment to be inspected so I guess I am on the hook for $200 more.  Actually, considering all the non refundable money for stuff like accommodations in Hawaii, return shipping, airline tickets, etc, $200 is chump change.  PacCup obviously left some money on the table here.  Who do I make the check out to and where do I send it?

Once that is taken care of, I still need to be inspected.  The E-mail I sent to the chief inspector a week or so ago, listed 7 or 8 days that would be convenient for me.  Since that E-mail generated no response that is obviously the wrong approach.  Let me try another.  Please pick a time and date that is convenient for you.  If you can see your way clear to give me 24 hours notice I will be there ready for inspection.  The boat is currently at the Grand Marina in Alameda.  I am not that familiar with the Bay Area so I don’t know if that is a central location or out in the boonies.  If that marina is not acceptable please tell me where to bring the boat and with 24 hours notice I will be there.

This is supposed to be “fun” race and begging is not fun, but I am begging.  Please, please, please give me an appointment, at your convenience, to be inspected.

Oh NO!

Uh oh, that does not sound like Skip, he must not have gotten the email somehow???  Did you try calling?  This IS the fun race and I am so sorry you are stressed.  Can't disagree that the whole thing is expensive! I hope you have the time of your life!

Skip has contacted you

Okay Frank!  We're in contact apparently.

Not clear why Skip did not get your emails.

In my day, things weren't so new!
