Flashlight requirement?

So, I have left the flashlight requirement till the last minute. I mean how hard can it be to get a flashlight?

Well, Fry's does not have any waterproof flashlights with an extra bulb.

What are the chances that an LED flashlight does not need a spare bulb?

What flashlights, and where are you getting them to meet the flashlight requirement?

How bright is a "High powered" flashlight?

Thanks

We have a pelican waterproof

We have a pelican waterproof flashlight. I think it came from west marine, though I don't see it on their website. We bought the spare bulb separately.

We had a hard time finding spare bulbs and batteries for our spotlight and ended up buying a second spotlight as backup instead. Could do the same with the flashlight, perhaps? Have a backup "spare"?

Dive lights?

You might try calling or visiting a couple of dive shops. A well-outfitted shop usually has a good selection of waterproof lights, often with spare bulbs. Dive lights aren't cheap but they are well-made, durable and last a long time.

I was in Target the other day and was surprised at their selection of waterproof lights. The prices were cheap enough that a backup light would totally make sense.

Good questions about what makes a flashlight "high powered". Must be some sort of lumen (or equivalent) measurement but danged if I know what it is.

Amazon!
Amazon.com can be a great source for these little nagging items, and they get delivered to your door. Here is the first thing that comes up for, like $15: 100 Meter Dive Light Scuba Waterproof Flashlight

In my day, things weren't so new!
