Mike learned to sail as a child on dinghys out of the Marina Del Rey Yatch Club in Southern California and has over 40 years of sailboat experience. For a couple years, Mike was a junior member of the St. Francis YC during which time he was foredeck on a racing Bear Boat. Beyond that experience, he has crewed on several boats including Newport 28, C&C 33, and a J120 out of San Francisco Yacht Club on which he most recently crewed in the 2010 Spinnaker Cup race from San Francisco to Monterey (4th in division).
