2006 Pacific Cup Yacht Club
First Amendment to the Notice of Race.

The following amendments were approved by the PCYC board at the March 20 meeting:

Appendix IV New paragraph 1.22

    SR 4.20.2 is amended to read:

    A liferaft shall be stowed either on the working deck, in the cockpit, in an adjacent compartment, or below decks.

    Stowage must be in a secure location and accessible, such that deployment is not obstructed by other gear.

    Liferafts not stowed on deck or in the cockpit may not exceed 40kg unless deployment does not require lifting.

    Trigger lanyard must be enclosed but readily accessible for rafts stowed below deck.

Appendix IV New paragraph 1.23

    For the purposes of SR 3.18, a fitted bucket or other suitable head will meet the toilet requirement.

Appendix I New paragraph 4

RRS 50.2 is modified to allow the use of two spinnaker or whisker poles when no spinnaker is set. This is to allow twin jibs to be set wing and wing.

Section 14

Title is changed from “ENTRIES” to “MAILED ENTRIES”

Add new section 15:

15.  ON LINE ENTRIES

The information required for an On Line Entry is the same as for a Mailed Entry.  However, the process is different, as most of the required information is collected on line.  Go to www.pacificcup.org, select On Line Entry System and follow the direction provided.

To be complete, an on line entry must consist of the following items:

  • Completed and signed simplified entry form and entry fee made payable to Pacific Cup Yacht Club mailed to Bobbi Tosse
  • All information requested by the On Line Entry System completed
  • Completed and signed Wavier and Release Agreement from the Owner/Charterer and Skipper mailed or faxed to Bobbi Tosse
  • Completed and signed waiver form for every member of the crew mailed or faxed to Bobbi Tosse
  • Signed copy of the appropriate rating Certificate. (see NOR 5/Appendix III) mailed or faxed to Bobbi Tosse
  • One digital photograph of the yacht emailed to walt@hawaii.rr.com
  • Additionally, note that the following items also must be completed prior to each yacht's start:
    • Life-raft Certificate (as per SR 4.20.4, copy to be submitted to inspector).
    • Completed and signed Skipper’s Certificate (available at PCYC web site, copy submitted to inspector).
    • Late-fee(s) (if required under NOR 5 and/or NOR 8) mailed to Bobbi Tosse
