PARTY TIME AT KANEOHE YACHT CLUB--WEST MARINE PACIFIC CUP ALMOST PAU

July 17, 2006

Kaneohe, HI -- The sea stories, old bragging rights established and renewal of land legs are in high gear at Kaneohe Yacht Club. It's also time for some repairs needed for the trip home.

Slim will require some repairs. Yesterday, too late to make our daily report, we heard from a family member with the information that the doublehanded J-30 with the father and son team of Loren and Mark Mollner suffered a broken boom several days ago and has rigged her main by sheeting directly to the stern quarter. They have plenty of water and were gifted with other beverages by Cayenne yesterday. They are also honing up their fishing skills.

Today's arrivals will be in port by cocktail hour. They are Celerity, Cirrus, Relentless, Stray Cat Blues and Jam.

Seven more should show up on Tuesday: Giant Slayer, Keeli Quinn, Plus Sixteen, Spirit, Cassiopeia, Cayenne and Bounty.

Wednesday, we expect the aforementioned Slim, Sonata, and Valis. The arrival of Englehart family's Compromise on Thursday will have everyone happy and in on time for Friday's Trophy dinner.

The current ETA list is at the end of this report
