Commodore's Comments

Pacific Cup Yacht Club is already hard at work to make sure that the 2006 West Marine Pacific Cup lives up to its long-standing tradition of being "The FUN Race to Hawaii." Kaneohe Yacht Club, our host in Hawaii, is gearing up for the 2006 race and working on the events for the crews and their guests as well as accommodations for the visiting boats. Our title sponsor, West Marine, is supporting and working with us every step of the way to make sure the next race not only maintains but also builds upon the "Fun Race" tradition.

We welcome and encourage all comers - cruisers, casual racers, and serious racers. We have a special place in our hearts for cruisers and casual racers and tailor the race and associated activities to them. Our pre-race seminars and get-togethers give you both the information and help you need to have a safe and FUN passage to Hawaii. Kaneohe Yacht Club is a wonderful destination and provides outstanding activities for friends and families, as well as for the race participants.

If you have a sound ocean going boat and have done overnight passages, then you are a candidate for the 2006 race! For the first time we are inviting multihulls to participate.

Start getting your crew together and dreaming of the sail to Oahu and the wonderful greeting you will receive at the Kaneohe Yacht Club! Encourage your friends to do the same.

We begin accepting entries the first of July this year.

Stop by and see us at Strictly Sail Pacific.
